How do molecules, cells, organs and systems work together to allow our bodies to function and, when this function goes wrong in disease, how do the drugs we take interact with these components of our bodies? Pharmacology and Physiology examine two exciting and interlinked areas of the Life Sciences.
On the Discover Pharmacology and Physiology Day you will find out more about the degree courses at Manchester, the types of career available to you as a Physiology/Pharmacology graduate and the cutting-edge research going on right now in our labs.
You will get the chance to do some hands-on experiments, which will include:
• Diagnosis of diabetes
• Studying the effect of drugs on the digestive system
Please note - these experiments will involve the use of animal tissue.
