 udents\nAbstract: Subject-specific language difficulties can be a barrie
 r to success for international students.  Typically support in this area
  has been in the taught postgraduate space. Dedicated language support s
 tructures for new undergraduate mathematics students are not currently w
 idespread.This talk will outline the structure of the language support p
 ut in place in recent years in the School of Mathematics at the Universi
 ty of Leeds\, which focuses on maintaining the development of academic l
 anguage skills in a mathematics context. We will present student feedbac
 k on the programme\, a summary of student outputs and engagement\, descr
 ibe how the programme has increased our ability to intervene directly wi
 th students.  We'll also examine some recent progression outcomes for in
 ternational students on different programmes of study.There should be am
 ple time for a comparison of approaches to support in Leeds and Manchest
 er and to explore possible future collaborations.
