DESCRIPTION:Good Grief: Historical Perspectives on the Regulation of Mour

 on constructions of grief and the means of consolation found in early mo
 dern literature\, theology\, philosophy and natural philosophy. What are
  the debates surrounding grief? Are there forms of grief that are percei
 ved as healthy and unhealthy\, natural and unnatural? What are the drive
 rs for changes in conceptions of grief and wider mourning practices? Wha
 t are the forms of consolation available to early modern mourners and in
  what ways are these resisted and contested? Please send proposals (250
