DESCRIPTION:Multilingual Manchester are hosting an event on 'Responding t
 o language diversity: the role of partnerships'\, in collaboration with 
 Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. \n\nThe ev
 ent will take place on Tuesday 12 May 2015\, 2-5pm\, at the Kanaris Lect
 ure Theatre\, Manchester Museum. \n\nCentral Manchester is one of the mo
 st linguistically diverse districts in the country. It is also home to a
  unique partnership that has developed to provide interpreter services a
 t Central Manchester Hospitals. We have invited key participants to shar
 e their experience around an innovative method of managing interpreter r
 equests\, and an approach to procurement that offers a novel model of pu
 blic and private sector partnership. We will be joined by students\, who
  will report on their volunteer work with the hospital’s patient experie
 nce team\, and by academic colleagues who are leading experts in assessi
 ng equality in access to healthcare.
