12.00 pm-1.15 pm - Michael Smith Building Lecture Theatre

"Standardising immunoprofiling at the Becker: introducing the Human Immunology Accelerator" Dr Nicholas Scott - NIHR Manchester BRC Experimental Officer

“Fat on the frontline: understanding adipose-immune interactions during infection” Dr Matthew Sinton - Wellcome Trust ECA Research Fellow

"Cortical activity-dependent regulation of microglia development" Dr Fong Kuan Wong - MRC CDA Research Fellow

AND Lightning talks by selected Becker-affiliated postgrads/techs/postdocs and Supa Coles from Miltenyi (Main Sponsor)

Lunch and Poster Competition

1.15 pm–4.00 pm - Michael Smith Building Lounge

From 1.15 pm onwards we’ll be occupying the Michael Smith Building Lounge to mingle and talk about everything immunology! We’ll have posters presented by Becker-affiliated postdocs, technical staff, and postgrads, showcasing the very latest and greatest in immunology research. There will be a Poster Competition where we’ll be awarding prizes for the best entries. Prize presentations will take place at approximately 3.45 pm.

A free lunch will also be served at 1.15 pm.

DIIIRM Social

4.00 pm - Michael Smith Building Lounge

The DIIIRM Social Committee will be holding a social event straight after the Research Showcase finishes - with pizza/drinks for those who wish to carry on the conversation and unwind post-showcase!

This event is open to all Lydia Becker Institute/FBMH staff and postgrads but please register by 12.00 pm Tuesday 25th June so we can get an indication of numbers for catering and any dietary requirements.
