Potter Clarkson will be presenting the first of a series of workshops on intellectual property at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC). Potter Clarkson is an official affiliate partner of the GEIC, and is a full-service European IP law firm of patent and trade mark attorneys and IP solicitors. Further information can be found on the GEIC and Potter Clarkson websites.
Since graphene was first isolated at the University of Manchester in 2004, the graphene and two-dimensional materials industry has grown from strength to strength, but there continues to be challenges and opportunities in identifying new commercially viable production methods and applications, as the industry approaches the tipping point for these unique materials.
Intellectual property (IP) rights are fundamental to the successful commercialisation of innovative technology, and is crucial in protecting businesses from competitors. The focus of the workshop will be on ways of protecting your ideas and identifying IP issues and opportunities in the areas of graphene and two-dimensional materials.
The workshop will be followed by a networking lunch from 12:15 to 13:15 and complimentary one-to-one meetings with Potter Clarkson attorneys from 13:15 onwards. Advance bookings of the one-to-one meetings are recommended.
If you have any questions relating to the workshop or would like to arrange a one-to-one meeting please email Jason Teng at enquiries-geic@potterclarkson.com.
