DESCRIPTION:In 2017 the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research is ce
 lebrating its 10th anniversary\, and marking over 50 years of science an
 d innovation policy and management studies at the University of Manchest
 er. Our history stretches back to Fred Jevons establishing the Liberal S
 tudies in Science programme in 1966\, and on through our later groupings
 \, including PREST\, CRIC and CROMTEC.\n \nTo mark our anniversary\, to 
 celebrate Manchester’s contributions to the science and innovation studi
 es community\, and to look forward to the future\, on Friday 3 November 
 2017\, we will be holding an anniversary gathering at the University of 
 Manchester. We will reflect on the past with alumni\, key stakeholders\,
  and academic friends and colleagues\, and consider the challenges in th
 e discipline over the coming years with friends and colleagues.\n \nWe w
