DESCRIPTION:Since the release of ChatGPT almost exactly a year ago\, we w
 ill all have felt its influence in some way\, shape or form. It is not o
 ften that a new technology can accurately call itself transformative\, b
 ut this truly is the case with ChatGPT (and more widely\, generative art
 ificial intelligence). As a Faculty and University\, we need to start di
 scussing not just how we are going to ‘deal’ with the changes its incred
 ible functionality brings\, but how to harness and utilise this unpreced
 ented leap in AI for the benefit of our students and our institution.\n\
 nPlease join us on Thursday\, 14 December from 2pm to 3pm in Kilburn Lec
 ture Theatre 1.5 when our panel of experts will be leading a discussion 
 on this topic\, examining the changes ChatGPT has introduced from a prac
 tical and pedagogical point of view\, as well as examining assessment on
  a philosophical level and debating how automation of the written word f
