 ation Overviews:\n\nJoe Ravetz | A key challenge at COP26 was the appare
 nt gap between proposed targets and realities on the ground. Highly tech
 nical net-zero targets or adaptation programs say little about the socia
 l\, political and cultural dynamics in different regions\, or the syndro
 mes of corruption and inequality.\n\nThe Climate-Wise Toolkit was develo
 ped\, first for analysis and mapping of such effects\, and then for a sy
 stematic exploration of viable pathways\, which can turn targets into ac
 tions. For the net-zero transformations promised by many governments\, t
 his offers a realistic and credible way to (a) get other governments to 
 commit\, and (b) turn such promises into action.\n\nThis prototype toolk
 it is based on a theory of collective climatic intelligence – the capaci
 ty for learning\, innovation and collaboration between all stakeholders.
  It is currently on test with the global urban program ‘Peri-cene’\, alo
 ng with UK projects\, and we plan to take the toolkit and Climate-wise p
 rogram to the COP27.\n\nProfessor Richard Kingston | The NERC Digital So
 lutions Programme is developing a digital Hub and set of toolkits that e
 xploits environmental and other data (social\, economic & health) to cre
 ate innovative digital services that deliver economic\, societal and env
 ironmental benefits across the UK. The Hub will act as a gateway to a br
 oad set of inter-connected toolkits that facilitate improved access and 
 better use of data. The digital platform will have especially broad impa
 cts on the environment\, society and the economy by facilitating easier 
 access and use of NERC data in business\, government and society. The Hu
 b will be integrated with wider social\, economic\, health and environme
 ntal datasets\, to support decision making across a range of sectors. Fo
 r stakeholders\, the Hub will be the user-facing entry point that allows
  them to explore what NERC offers\, ensuring that data and toolkits are 
 findable and accessible. Data science\, and the integration it requires\
 , are highly complex and constantly evolving. Our approach recognises th
 at computational tools need to 'sit' in the appropriate place in the tec
 hnical ecosystem\, and that users\, particularly those who are new\, mus
