DESCRIPTION:The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new
  opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to partici
 pate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education aw
 areness activities.\n\nThe Y9 Build Your Future Visit is an opportunity 
 for learners to explore potential career opportunities following further
  study in a range of subject areas. Learners will attend a hands-on\, in
 teractive workshop in the morning looking at the benefits of University 
 study followed by two afternoon workshops focussing on STEM (Science\, T
 echnology\, Engineering & Maths)\, Medical Human and Biological Sciences
 \, and Humanities. Learners will be given information relevant to future
  careers related to the areas covered in the workshops.\n
