DESCRIPTION:The Manchester-Melbourne Water Research Network\, brought to 
 you by the University of Manchester (School of Environment\, Education a
 nd Development) and the University of Melbourne (Centre for Contemporary
  Chinese Studies\, Asia Institute)\, aims to promote interdisciplinary k
 nowledge-sharing on water and facilitate knowledge exchange in human and
  environmental geography and allied disciplines (e.g.\, politics\, socio
 logy\, development studies\, environmental sciences\, architecture and p
 lanning\, environmental engineering\, ecology\, etc.).\n\nThis symposium
  is an opportunity to hear the latest work on China water research acros
 s both academic institutions. \n\nDr Wenjing (Wendee) Zhang\, University
  of Liverpool\, will share with us her recent research on Urban Sustaina
 bility and Water Security of China\, and her experiences and insights on
  human geography research in Chinese context. Moreover\, this talk is ab
 out Wenjing’s PhD thesis\, fieldwork in China and a brief introduction t
 o her postdoc experience in the UK. \n\nThere will also be a Q&A session
 \, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss the presentat
