This event is organised by the Science Media Centre (SMC) and is specifically geared towards nuclear scientists and engineers who would like to hone their media experience. We are especially keen for people to attend who are experienced scientists or engineers working on issues such as the health risks of radiation, nuclear new build, the state of old nuclear reactors, nuclear waste, consequences of nuclear accidents (e.g. Chernobyl and Fukushima), particularly as those subject areas are controversial, of interest to the media and tend to receive a lot of coverage.
