On Tuesday July 25th we will present a Double Bill starting with a panel talk in MS Lecture Theatre from 12:00. We showcase disabled staff from across the science, their careers and contributions in their respective fields, and their observations on the progress towards equality in science. This will be a forum to discuss career journeys and the difficulties faced as well as support needed as a disabled member of staff.
A free luncheon will allow attendees to chat and reflect on lessons learned.
The afternoon will then proceed with a ‘flip the script’ event focusing on how to make working spaces more accessible to neurodivergent colleagues. While many neurodiversity-related events focus on teaching neurodivergent people to adapt to neurotypical spaces, this event will present experiences from neurodivergent people who will suggest different ways in which working contexts can be made more inclusive of neurodivergent needs.
