 f Manchester’s Air Quality Supersite and the Manchester Urban Observator
 y. Worth £2 million\, these major capital investments combine expertise 
 from the Manchester Environmental Research Institute\, the Manchester Ur
 ban Institute\, the Data Science Institute\, and Digital Futures to unde
 rpin world-leading research into air quality and help Greater Manchester
  achieve its goal of becoming a green city region.\n\nThe event will be 
 to launch:\n\n•	The NERC air quality supersite is a major component of a
  new network of observatories that host advanced air quality monitoring 
 instruments to detect harmful air pollutants and their sources. The £0.7
 5M observatory has led to The University of Manchester leading a major £
 2.3M programme within the UKRI Clean Air Strategic Priorities Fund.\n\n•
 	The EPSRC UKCRIC programme has awarded £1M capital funding to create th
 e 'Manchester Urban Observatory' and develop ambitions around digital fu
 tures\, cities\, environment and health.\n\nThe event will showcase the 
 investments and the multi-disciplinary research activities that will uti
 lize them. The launch event will act as a forum to enhance the interacti
 on between academic researchers\, policy makers\, health bodies and key 
 business stakeholders to inform\, examine and deliver the implementation
  of the Clean Air Plan and to establish the public health impacts of air
  quality in Greater Manchester and the impact of the planned improvement
