DESCRIPTION:A workshop with the fusion community to evaluate Nvidia's Omn
iverse potential for developing a platform for digital engineering.\n\nT
he University of Manchester has recently secured funding via the UKAEA S
BRI scheme to evaluate Nvidia's Omniverse as a possible foundation for t
he development of a community-led integrated platform for digital engine
ering. The purpose of this online workshop is to introduce the concept t
o the community and seek input regarding the viability of the idea. The
workshop will be of interest to those working in fusion research\, inclu
ding users and developers of open source and proprietary software compon
ents that could form part of the platform. In a series of short talks\,
Lee Margetts will give an overview of the meeting\, Andrew Davis will hi
ghlight the computational challenges being addressed in the STEP program
me and Chris Mcleod will introduce the Nvidia Omniverse platform. The ta
lks will be followed by a breakout discussion session. A short report su
mmarising the outcome of the meeting will be made available to participa
 nts.\n\nChair's Introduction\n\nAneeqa Khan\, Research Fellow in Nuclear
