DESCRIPTION:Join Policy@Manchester on Wednesday\, 12 November for the fir
st GM Policy Hub seminar of 2025/26 to discuss electric vehicles use in
Greater Manchester.\n\nDomestic transport is the UK’s largest source of
emissions\, accounting for 28% of the total\, with 89% of this coming fr
om road vehicles. While electric vehicles (EVs) are central to decarboni
sing transport and helping Greater Manchester achieve its ambition to be
carbon zero by 2038\, for many households\, especially those without of
f-street parking or living in deprived areas\, EV ownership remains unfe
asible. \n\nHow can we support a fair and effective rollout of EV infras
tructure across Greater Manchester? While expanding charging infrastruct
ure is a necessary step\, it is not sufficient.?What else can be done to
increase EV use? How does this fit in with the broader public transport
system across the city region? \n\nJoin Dr Helen Zheng?to hear about he
r research using geospatial analysis and agent-based simulations to iden
tify priority areas for EV infrastructure in Greater Manchester (GM). \n
 \nWhen:?Wednesday\, 12 November\, 1.00pm-2.30pm (with registration and l
ight lunch from 12.30pm) \nWhere:?The University of Manchester (room con
