DESCRIPTION:Title: Developmental genetics\n\nLead speakers: Graeme Black\
 , Mike Dixon\, \n\nAbout the research forum:\n\nEnhancing FMHS-FLS biome
 dical research collaborations is a high priority. To advance cross-facul
 ty links\, a regular fortnightly series of informal topic-based cross-Fa
 culty research meetings will start in January 2013. It will target ‘hot’
  translational biomedical topics that are very likely to benefit from st
 rong cross-Faculty research links.\n\nThe format will be flexible\, but 
 will usually involve short presentations with discussion\, followed by b
 reak-out sessions with refreshments. We wish to encourage and support cr
 oss-Faculty collaborations leading to major new strategic funding and re
 search outputs\, and innovative research opportunities for clinical/non-
 clinical students.\n\nEveryone is welcome to attend.\n\nFull details of 
 each individual topic(s)\, and the FMHS and FLS Lead PIs\, will be circu
 lated well in advance.\n\nFunding support: an FMHS Research Strategy Co-
 ordinator and an FLS Research Support Manager will be present at each Fo
 rum meeting\, to provide targeted advice on internal and external fundin
