DESCRIPTION:Understand the fundamentals of clear writing\, focusing on au
 dience\, style\, warranting and external application for those with some
  writing experience\n\nPatrick Brindle got his Ph.D. from the University
  of Cambridge in 1998. At Cambridge he taught courses in research method
 s\, the social sciences and history. Patrick also supervised numerous st
 udent research projects and dissertations.\n\nPatrick took the step of m
 oving to publishing in 2000. He has held a number of editorial roles at 
 Pearson Education\, Oxford University Press and SAGE Publications. He ha
 s worked on academic books\, textbooks\, journals and on online content 
 and video.\n\nAt SAGE\, Patrick was Publisher for Research Methods\, Pub
 lisher for the Social Sciences\, and Publisher for Online Content. He al
 so co-established and managed a team of development editors whose job wa
 s to work closely with authors to improve the accessibility\, style and 
 market-readiness of their manuscripts.\n\nOver 15 years in editorial\, P
 atrick has worked with hundreds of social science scholars and researche
 rs on their texts and has witnessed and dealt with every kind of writing
  problem (and excuse) in the proverbial book. \n\nPatrick is now the fou
 nder and director of Into Content Limited\, and is Visiting Lecturer at 
 City University\, London\, where he lectures on publishing.\n\nThe cours
 e is aimed at Postgraduate students\, postdocs and researchers.\n\nAtten
