DESCRIPTION:This Urban Futures East-West Forum follows the ‘Envision-MCR’
  midsummer session on ‘strategic research-policy pathways’ for the next 
 10-20 years.  \nWe start with an east-west urban futures exchange\, with
  visitors from ‘CASTED’ (Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for D
 evelopment).  This provides a bigger picture on the Manchester city-regi
 on\, as a laboratory for urban innovation both local and global.  We the
 n explore the key research-policy pathways – ‘citizen/ship\, local/ity\,
  place-wise\, value-wise’ – and how they can be mobilized.
