  is the five-day festival of lights\, celebrated by millions of Hindus\,
  Sikhs and Jains across the world. The word Diwali comes from the Sanskr
 it word Deepavali\, meaning "rows of lighted lamps." \nIt is a festival 
 of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil\, and light over dar
 kness.\n \nThis FREE event will be a day of theatre performances\, craft
  activities and cultural talks for people of all ages and cultures to le
 arn about and get involved with the celebratory spirit of the festival.\
 n \nWith delicious food\, dance performances\, dhol playing and an eveni
 ng Bollywood party like no other\, this will be an event not to be misse
 d!\n\nManchester Museum is hosting its first annual Diwali celebration i
 n collaboration with Manchester India Partnership.\n
