Further details: The NHS in England appears to undergo almost continuous organisational change and restructuring, with little apparent benefit and many manifest costs and disbenefits. Rather than focusing on the policy and politics of NHS reorganisation, this presentation will explore the organisational causes and consequences of major reorganisation and restructuring, and look more widely than the health sector for theoretical and empirical evidence which may help to understand them.
