DESCRIPTION:This event marks the launch of a brand-new collection bringin
 g together the exciting and varied work of 20 voices from the University
  of Manchester’s Centre for New Writing. Featuring poetry\, short storie
 s and novel extracts\, and including published authors\, prize-winners a
 nd competition shortlistees\, this event showcases the melting pot of in
 ternational talent that is The Manchester Anthology. We would be delight
 ed if you could join us on 3 September 2014 in the International Anthony
  Burgess Foundation to help us celebrate the launch of The Manchester An
 thology 2014.\n\nDrinks reception begins at 6.30pm and the event starts 
 at 7.00pm.\n\nThe evening will include a selection of readings from the 
 anthology and a special guest appearance by Centre for New Writing alumn
 us Chris Killen\, who will read from his upcoming second novel\, In Real
