Title: On splendid Morita equivalences for principal blocks in characteristic 2.
Abstract: In this talk I will review results, obtained in joint work with S. Koshitani and B. Sambale, on the classification of principal 2-blocks up to splendid Morita equivalence.
I will focus on tame representation type and groups with a wreathed Sylow 2-subgroup. I will also try to explain the gist of the techniques involved, which are not entirely specific to characteristic 2 and could be applied in odd characteristic, too.
