 th Economics (MCHE) will be holding an afternoon conference to officiall
 y launch the Centre within the Institute of Population Health. This conf
 erence is designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in health econom
 ics and in collaborating with the Centre. The conference will take you o
 n a tour of health economics and the evolution of the Centre from where 
 it started to where it is going.\n\nThe Centre is extremely privileged t
 o have Professor Alan Maynard as keynote speaker. A founding director of
  the University of York graduate programme in health economics in 1977\,
  Professor Maynard has enjoyed a long and distinguished career including
  acting as a specialist advisor to the Health Select Committee\, World B
 ank and World Health Organisation. Prof Maynard has also been chair of t
 he York NHS Foundation Trust Hospital from 1997-2010. The conference wil
 l also provide an opportunity to hear from and meet with the Professors 
 and researchers at MCHE.\n\nThe conference is hosted at the Manchester D
 ental Education Centre (MANDEC) entrance at the University Dental Hospit
 al on Higher Cambridge Street. A buffet lunch will be provided from 12pm
  with the conference starting promptly at 1pm and running until 4.30pm. 
 An informal drinks reception will be held immediately following the conf
