Potter Clarkson is holding the third of a series of workshops on intellectual property at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC). Potter Clarkson is an official affiliate partner of the GEIC, and is a full-service European IP law firm of patent and trade mark attorneys and IP solicitors. Further information can be found on the Potter Clarkson website.
The focus of the workshop will be on inks, formulations and coatings which have been identified by the GEIC as an area of focus for rapid development and commercialisation. This area has potential application in various sectors such as protective coatings, 3D printing, printed flexible electronics and medical technology. The workshop will also serve as a prelude to the upcoming Graphene Hackathon, which aims to fast-track product development based on graphene inks and of which Potter Clarkson is a sponsor.
Intellectual property (IP) rights are fundamental to the successful commercialisation of innovative technology and are crucial in protecting businesses from competitors. Our attorneys, Craig Brownlie and David Carling, will be providing insights into IP issues and opportunities in the field of graphene and 2D material-based inks, formulations and coatings. Any specific IP questions can be sent to our dedicated e-mail address below in advance of the workshop.
The contents of the workshop will principally be technical and geared towards scientists, engineers and anyone else working with technical subject-matter on a regular basis. Although the focus will be on graphene and 2D material-based inks, formulations and coatings, we also welcome those working with other types of materials to join us.
Refreshments will be provided at the workshop, which will be followed by complimentary one-to-one meetings with Craig and David from 12:30 pm onwards. Advance bookings of the one-to-one meetings are recommended. If you have any questions relating to the workshop or would like to arrange a one-to-one meeting, please email Craig and David at enquiries-geic@potterclarkson.com.
