DESCRIPTION:Please join the MANCEPT research cluster for a seminar with C
 ara Nine (University College Cork). \n\nCara researches theories of reso
 urce rights and self-determination\, including questions on claims to oc
 ean resources\, to rivers\, and overlapping claims of self-determination
  over resources.  Cara also works on related issues such as applied ethi
 cs\, history of philosophy\, legitimate political authority\, immigratio
 n theory\, global moral responsibility\, the role of moral arbitrariness
  in political theory\, and property rights.\n\nShe is currently a projec
 t partner on the Norwegian Research Council grant 'Political Philosophy 
 Looks to Antarctica'.  Cara is the current recipient of an Irish Researc
 h Council project grant to study territorial rights and another IRC proj
 ect grant to study territorial rights over rivers.
