The Genome Editing unit (formerly Transgenic unit) is an expert core facility for researchers at The University of Manchester.

We aim to integrate and apply the very latest molecular technologies into our services, and to develop new methodologies for the local research community to ensure the University of Manchester is at the cutting edge of research. We offer a range of services to support your work, including generating transgenic mice and genetically modified cells through CRISPR-Cas9 based gene editing, as well as offering a number of molecular biology based services. We have recently added an R&D remit to help develop novel molecular tools and applications according to your needs.

We will be holding our annual workshop in the Michael Smith lecture theatre on Friday, 29 November. We have talks from members of the unit itself and from groups with whom we have worked closely, highlighting the breadth of support we can offer.

Lunch will be provided, please register at Eventbrite if you wish to attend.
