 3915\n\nSPEAKER\n\nRochelle Burgess is Professor of Global Mental Health
  and Social Justice and Deputy Director of the UCL Centre for Global Non
 -Communicable Diseases\, at the Institute for Global Health at UCL.\n\nR
 ochelle is interested in the advancement of community-led approaches to 
 health and mental health improvement globally. Her work explores how com
 munities navigate and respond to the political economy of poor health\, 
 with a particular emphasis on community-led efforts to address the impac
 ts of broader development issues such as poverty\, gender\, racialisatio
 n\, through engagement in transforming systems of governance\, using com
 munity mobilisation and activism mechanism.\n\nABOUT\n\nProf Burgess wil
 l discus some of the themes of her latest book - Rethinking Global Healt
 h - which reflects and analyses the working of power in the field of glo
 bal health– and what this goes on to produce. In so doing\, Rethinking G
 lobal Health asks the pivotal questions of\, ‘who is global health for’ 
 and ‘what is it that limits our ability to build responses that meet peo
 ple where they are?’\n\n---\n\nPractical\n\n- This session is from 2pm t
