DESCRIPTION:Focus: Working in partnership with the public\n\n* This month
 ’s event will explore how people from the University have successfully w
 orked together with members of the public and community groups over a lo
 ng time period. \n\n* This aspect of public engagement is about shared p
 roject planning and delivery and we will hear from people with experienc
 e of working with the public in research\, volunteering and teaching.\n\
 nSPEAKERS:\n\n* Claire Planner is a health services researcher and she c
 oordinates a patient\, carer and public advisory group (called PRIMER) w
 ho assist in the design and delivery of research projects.\n\n* Lindsay 
 Gilbert is the Head of Volunteering & Community Engagement in the Univer
 sity and she will share some of the schemes she works on in partnership 
 with community groups.\n\n* Yvonne Awenat is an Hon Research Fellow who 
 works in the School of Psychological Sciences and coordinates the Commun
 ity Liaison Group\, who contribute to many aspects of teaching for the D
 octorate in Clinical Psychology.\n\nDate: Wednesday 17 April (1pm -2pm)\
