 oin us for an afternoon of celebration.?\n\nWomen@Manchester is a staff 
 network for all women\, or those who identify as female at the Universit
 y of Manchester.  \n\nOur annual International Women's Day celebration w
 ill feature a panel conversations with: \nFaye Coleman\, Co-Lead and All

 ies School of Environment\, Education and Development\, \nProfessor Rach
 el Cowen\, University EDI Lead for Gender Equity and Senior Sponsor of W

 Co-Chairs\, Lin Ma and Emma Shiels\n\n\nThe theme for International Wome
 n’s Day 2024 is ‘inspire inclusivity’. Gender equity has historically be
 en considered as a ‘women’s issue’\, as women are the primary driver beh
 ind gender equality strategies and campaigns. However\, we believe that 
 forging gender equity shouldn’t be limited to women solely fighting for 
 equity. Allies are incredibly important for the social\, economic\, cult
 ural\, and political advancement of women. As an inclusive network – ope
 n to all women and nonbinary people\, we want to ensure that our message
  is as effective as possible and reaches the whole University. We want t
 o build bridges through intersectionality by acknowledging the work we n
