Celebrate the life of Alfred Russel Wallace and see some of the specimens collected by Wallace himself.
Alfred Russel Wallace was one of the greatest naturalists of the 19th and early 20th centuries. He discovered evolution by natural selection independently of Charles Darwin, leading to this idea being made public and changing the course of history. His ideas on the distribution of animals had a far-reaching effect. Celebrate the life of Wallace on the centenary of his death, and see some of the specimens collected by Wallace himself.
