DESCRIPTION:This one-day course begins with a description of some example
 s where multilevel models are useful in statistical analysis and some ex
 amples of multilevel populations. \n\nWe then cover the basic theory of 
 multilevel models and a brief introduction to software that has been wri
 tten specifically for fitting multilevel models: MLwiN. \n\nNo prior kno
 wledge of multilevel modelling is assumed. Participants will get some ex
 perience of using MLwiN software.
