Atelier Series 2014: 'Development'
The fourth Manchester Postcolonial Atelier offers the opportunity for the research community to enter into conversation with Professor Cheryl McEwan (Geography, University of Durham). Professor McEwan will be discussing her current project on the intersections between cultural, political and development geographies. At a conceptual level, her work has sought to explore the productive tensions between postcolonial and feminist approaches within geography. These theoretical concerns are also grounded in empirical research in South Africa and the UK. The event will be followed by lunch.
The Postcolonial Atelier series complements the Manchester Postcolonial Reading Group's broad theme 'Development' (2014) and provides a focused, friendly and constructive setting in which researchers can engage with the atelier guest's intellectual output.
