DESCRIPTION:Summary\n\nThis course gives a hands on introduction to what
is possible in a latent variable analysis framework using Mplus. Buildin
g up the different sides of latent variable modelling and structural equ
ation modeling step by step\, eight different types of analysis are tack
 led.\n\nRegression\, Path Analysis\, Confirmatory Factor Analysis\, Item
Response Theory\, Measurement modelling\, Latent Class Analysis\, Longi
tudinal Analysis and lastly\, hybrids of these are all topics of the cou
rse covered in lectures and practical analysis in Mplus.\n\nBringing you
r own data and research questions is highly recommended!\n\nCourse objec
tives:\nDistinguish and understand different types of latent variable an
alysis\;\nLearn how to do basic and advanced structural equation modelli
ng\;\nUnderstand how to combine different techniques in one model\; and\
 nLearn how to use Mplus\n\nCourse timetable\nDay one\nAfternoon - Regres

urse presenters\nThe course will be presented by Nick Shryane and Bram V
 anhoutte.\n\nPrior or recommended knowledge/reading/skills\nBasic statis
tical knowledge (variance\, mean\, …) and experience in using regression
models (linear and logistic)\nSome experience in working with syntax is
helpful but not absolutely necessary.\n\nBooking\n\nBooking is now open
