Dr Mike Elwell will be giving a “warts and all” perspective on a career in the chemical industry. He obtained his PhD from The University of Manchester in 1993 and since then he has
been Chief Technology Officer in the Aliaxis Group (2015-2018), Global Director for Corporate Innovation, and Research and Development in AkzoNobel N.V. (2012-2015), Global Research and Development
Director of Research and Development in Huntsman Advanced Materials (2007-2012) and Global Technology Leader in The Dow Chemical Company (1995-2006). The talk will be highly relevant for those
people interested in careers within industry or collaborating with industry.
