The social contract with science has changed over the last 30 years. Agenda-setting, practices in science and the making of knowledge claims have all been reshaped by a changing relationship between science and society. Drawing on examples from the new international Future Earth programme, the seminar will discuss the drivers and paradoxes behind the new engagement agenda in science.
