NCHS: Wildflower Management with City of Trees
Whitworth Park
Come and join City of Trees in Whitworth Park Community Garden for some wildflower meadow management! We will be clearing the meadow of existing vegetation and preparing the ground for wildflower seed sowing.
Wildflowers meadows are incredibly rich in biodiversity, with the wide variety of plants attracting huge numbers of different animals and especially insects! Wildflower meadows are essential to our pollinators which in turn are responsible for large quantities of our food!
We will also be going through native British wildflowers and spring plant ID and making wildflower seed bombs.
Tools and gloves will be provided but please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity and weather. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Drop ins are welcome if the event is not too busy, but in order to secure a place please contact Olive on olive@cityoftrees.org.uk or 07759369215.
