DESCRIPTION:This talk discusses the work done to boost UK-US collaboratio
 n in the fields of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and High-Performan
 ce Computing (HPC). The rationale for improving our links with US govern
 ment\, academia and industry is presented\, with specific examples of in
 itiatives in the field of turbulence modeling and HPC. \n\nOutcomes from
  some of these initiatives is discussed (such as the UK-US HPC programme
  led by Dr Lee Margetts of the School of MACE) as well as various worksh
 ops which were organized by the presenter and the British Foreign & Comm
 onwealth Office during his 4 week stay at NASA Ames Research Centre in S
 ilicon Valley.\n
