In this performance dialogue, Lobel and Carr will explore how bodies and bodily experiences are conceived, discussed and witnessed by others; they engage us in thinking about how bodies – disabled bodies, sick bodies, queer bodies, stigmatized bodies – are seen by the public and by the medical profession; and they will connect these idea to their own experiences of illness and disability. This event seeks to challenge ideas about what a normal body is.
