DESCRIPTION:The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new
  opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to partici
 pate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education aw
 areness activities.\n\nThe Y10 Skills for Success Day is an opportunity 
 for learners to realistically consider their future options. A ‘Research
 ing Your Future Options’ workshop gives learners an introduction to the 
 research process through thinking about their own options at age 16-18 a
 nd 18/19+. During the afternoon learners are given the opportunity to ch
 oose one of three workshops based in the Manchester Museum focussing on 
 the theme of ‘identity’ in relation to biology\, creative art or social 
 sciences. At the end of the day learners take part in a Q&A session with
  current undergraduates to find out more about university life.\n
