DESCRIPTION:This edition of the MUARG Conversation Series\, chaired by Pa
 tty Doran (University of Manchester)\, features two researchers sharing 
 examples of ethical issues from everyday practice in age-friendly commun
 ity-building and co-creation.\n\nBarbara Groot-Sluijsmans (VU Amsterdam)
  will provide practical understanding of everyday ethical challenges fac
 ed while building age-friendly communities in the Netherlands\, includin
 g handling mensplay and racism in a community garden initiative around a
  flat with a multicultural group of older inhabitants\, balancing acts i
 n art engagement projects between artistic quality to raise dementia-rel
 ated stigma awareness and inclusion and support\, and balancing the need
  of a theatre-dance program’s funder to ‘show and tell’ with the anonymi
 ty of women with a migration background.\n\nVanessa Burholt (University 
 of Auckland) will discuss the difficulties New Zealand researchers face 
 actioning co-creation principles without an adequate regulatory framewor
 k and differentiating between participants and co-creators\, including w
 hile co-creating a soundscape study with people living with dementia\, d
 ecolonising research practices with M?ori living with mate wareware\, an
 d facing challenges promoting continence or managing incontinence\, and 
 will describe the work undertaken by the Centre for Co-Created Ageing Re
 search (CCREATE-AGE) to create co-creation principles and practices alig
 ning with Kaupapa M?ori methods.\n\nLunch\, tea\, and coffee will be pro
