 . to 4.15 p.m\, at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre\n\n\nTo celebrate i
 ts bicentenary the Royal Astronomical Society is establishing an Outreac
 h and Engagement Fund to support astronomy and geophysics projects that 
 create a real buzz about science – understanding\, discussion and dialog
 ue – in diverse sections of the community. Further details can be found 
 at www.ras.org.uk/200.\n\nThe Society's aim is to fund a number of proje
 cts to engage the wider public with the sciences they support\, with a k
 ey goal being to work with groups that are ‘hard to reach’.\n\nIf you're
  involved with a local or national organisation that might be able to he
 lp\, the RAS would like to invite you to a meeting at the Jodrell Bank D
 iscovery Centre on Sunday 23 November. \n\nThe meeting programme will in
 clude a short overview of RAS 200\, followed by initial pitches for idea
 s and a ‘speed networking’ session to allow partners to develop combined
  plans and more detail on the funding application process. \n\nPlease no
