DESCRIPTION:The aims of the course are to familiarise participants with s
ome of the most commonly utilised statistical procedures using IBM SPSS\
, and to provide an introduction to the theory and methods of inferentia
l statistical analysis using example datasets and exercises. \nBy the en
d of the day participants will be familiar with how to access and run a
range of key statistical procedures and be able to understand and interp
ret output generated by IBM SPSS.\n\nObjectives\n\nOn completing the cou
rse\, participants will have covered the following:\n•Drawing inferences
about populations from a sample.\n•The importance of standard errors an
d confidence intervals.\n•Hypothesis testing and p-values.\n•Procedures
in IBM SPSS to perform chi-squared tests\, t-tests\, analysis of varianc
e\, correlations\, linear regression and logistic regression.\n
