DESCRIPTION:Grammy Award winner James Clapperton takes us through a journ
 ey of some of his wildest repertoire. The concert closes with Xenakis Ev
 ryali\, a portrait of the mythical Gorgons of ancient Greece. Exquisite 
 works by Philip Grange and Camden Reeves are complimented by the music o
 f Salvatore Sciarrino and Aldo Clementi. Clapperton performs his work Ko
 shki inspired by the poet Marina Tsvetaeva.\n\nThe Thursday lunchtime co
 ncerts are part of the Walter Carroll Lunchtime Concert Series\, which i
 s supported by the Ida Carroll Trust. They provide a wide-ranging progra
 mme to suit all tastes and are an ideal opportunity to enjoy great music
  performed by outstanding musicians. There’s no need to book – the conce
 rts are free\, and you can just turn up on the day!
