DESCRIPTION:In this Speaker Series\, Selin Yildiz Nielsen talks about the
  issues surrounding the recent Syrian refugee crisis in Turkey with a pa
 rticular focus on education for Syrian refugees.\n\nSelin received her P
 h.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of
  California-Riverside and is now teaching at Drake University\nin Des Mo
 ines\, Iowa\, U.S.A.. She has worked in international education for the 
 last 20 years and recently served as a visiting Assistant Professor of E
 ducation at Zirve University in Gaziantep\, Turkey during which time she
  also spent considerable time at the Syrian refugee camps in the area.\n
