DESCRIPTION:This 90-minute virtual summit — hosted by the Hub for Aging C
 ollaboration and developed in partnership with interdisciplinary scholar
 s from the University of Manchester\, UCSF\, and Wayne State University 
 — will convene global thought leaders on ageing in community whose schol
 arships integrate research\, theory\, and practice to enhance work on co
 mmunity-centred initiatives and ageing equity.\n\n\n\nThe online summit 
 will present three projects which advance scholarship through theory dev
 elopment\, empirical research\, and collaborative practice to address is
 sues of inclusion\, equity\, and justice in community-centred initiative
 s on ageing. With discussant Tam E. Perry (Wayne State University)\, Tin
 e Buffel (University of Manchester) will present her work on ‘Reimaginin
 g Age-friendly Communities: A Spatial Justice Approach to Urban Ageing R
 esearch’\, Emily A. Greenfield and Clara J. Scher (Rutgers University) w
 ill present their work on ‘Aging Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion as P
 art of Age-Friendly Community Practice’\, and Jarmin Yeh (UCSF) will pre
 sent their work on ‘Co-Creating an LGBTQ+ Adult Day Program: Lessons Lea
 rned From a Formative Evaluation’.\n\n\n\nIn addition to the three prese
 ntations of the researchers\, the event will include a large-group refle
 ction on cross-cutting themes facilitated by the discussant and live int
 eractive participation from the audience members in facilitated breakout
