DESCRIPTION:We're delighted at Manchester Museum that our friends at Pure
  Arts Studio are sharing their work with Manchester Museum in short film
 s on Saturday 5 September as part of Manchester Histories DigFest2020.\n
 \nTune in at 1.12pm to hear artist Sarah Bradbury introduce Pure Arts St
 udio's animation workshops as part of Calm Nights at Manchester Museum. 
  At 1.16pm hear about the #heirlooms project inspired by visits to Manch
 ester Museum & the Heritage Futures exhibition.  An online digital exhib
 ition will be part of the DigiFest2020 online gallery.\n\nhttps://issuu.

 ing_alf\n\nRunning across two days\, Friday 4 September and Saturday 5 S
 eptember\, DigiFest 2020 will work with individuals and community groups
  to present their stories\, ideas and creative content.  A pop-up TV Stu
 dio is being developed from which the full programme of activities will 
 be broadcast live across the globe.\n\nDigiFest is the creative solution
  that Manchester Histories has developed with its partners\, due to the 
 impact of Covid-19.  At the heart of DigiFest 2020 remains a celebration
  and recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Chronically Sick and Dis
 abled Persons Act (1970)\, a landmark piece of legislation that was pion
 eered by Lord Alf Morris (1928 – 2012). \n\nAlf Morris was a social refo
 rmer who was born and lived in Manchester\, where he served as MP for Wy
 thenshawe for 33 years.  To reflect and explore the anniversary of what 
 is known as Alf’s Act\, DigiFest will be inspired by the themes of Celeb
 rate – Learn – Challenge.  Individuals and groups are invited to take pa
 rt by both inspiring the content\, or by getting involved in a project t
 o create the content.\n\n\n
