DESCRIPTION:Are you writing your dissertation?  Are you planning on submi
 tting your research to a peer-reviewed journal for publication?  Join Pr
 of. David Schultz of the University of Manchester for a free 6-hour work
 shop on writing and publishing.  During this two-day workshop\, you will
  learn the process of peer review from an experienced and interdisciplin
 ary author\, reviewer\, and editor. Get behind-the-scenes insight into h
 ow to better prepare your manuscript for submission\, engage with the re
 viewers and editor\, and ensure a positive outcome for your manuscript. 
 Delve into the concepts that all writers need to learn to write clear\, 
 concise\, and understandable text. Learn the secrets of writing your dis
 sertation and defending it in a viva.\n\nYou can register for one or bot
 h days. If you plan on attending both days\, you need to register twice.
  The content will be largely independent so it is not a requirement to a
 ttend the session on 18 July to attend the session on 19 July.\n \nIf yo

 chester since 2009. He has published over 190 peer-reviewed journal arti

  151-year old journal Monthly Weather Review (2008–2022). He has won num
 erous teaching awards and delivered communication-skills workshops aroun
