DESCRIPTION:Manchester is home to a vibrant and diverse Caribbean communi
ty and during this workshop you can discover and become the keeper of yo
ur Caribbean family memories.\n\nFamily histories are not just personal
histories\, instead they have wider significance for our understanding o
f the places and communities in which we live. This event will question
how the stories we tell\, and the memories that we preserve from one gen
eration to the next\, have the power to change our way of seeing the pas
t.\n\nDrop in throughout the day with photos and objects that illuminate
your family memories and learn how to start the journey of researching
your family histories.\n\nThis event is suitable for all ages and it is
not necessary to book\, but please register your interest with the organ
iser Misha Ewen by emailing Misha.Ewen@manchester.ac.uk\n\nThis event is
in partnership with the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centr
 e.
