As part of the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science School Seminar Series, we'll be welcoming Prof Søren Kegnæs from Technical University of Denmark, on Monday 8 April, with a talk titled "Synthesis, characterization and application of nanostructured catalysts".
Professor Søren Kegnæs - member of faculty at the Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark. Søren Kegnæs Master Degree in inorganic chemistry from University of Copenhagen in 2005 and his Ph. D. degree in chemistry from Technical University of Denmark in 2009.
The main research area of the group of Professor Søren Kegnæs is within design of functional nanomaterials, their characterization and application in heterogeneous catalysis. The research activities focus on the fundamental aspects of materials synthesis and catalysis in relation to industrial production of chemicals. A specific focus is on the synthesis of nanoparticles, zeolites, nanostructures and high surface area materials with controlled porosity.
Refreshments will be served from 10:00, and the seminar will commence at 10:30, in The Mill room C63/64.
